Aurora
Aurora Aksnes Born June 15th, 1996 in Stavanger and is known professionally as Aurora occasionally stylized in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 it received a raving review from journalists as well as press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are two of her most renowned covers. Her name was also recognized from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Happy birthday to her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding the piano in her attic, and being captivated by the sounds it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes on to try music as an activity or profession. She began to write her own compositions. In addition to Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother urged her to play her music publicly, not so that she could become famous but rather inspire others to realize just how important their voices are and how they could do to improve the world. Her first piano lesson was when she was only six and began writing music by the time she was nine. They didn't let her parents know about it until she turned 14. She never had a desire to turn into Aurora. She claims that she enjoys creating songs. She says that music is her most preferred way to feel anything.
